Motsai Shabbos Updates: IDF Assists in Columbia, Israel Reveals Weapons Seized From Hamas & Hezbollah
Gut Vuch & Besuros Tovos to all!
Israel is showcasing a massive collection of weapons captured from Hamas and Hezbollah, offering a rare glimpse into the scale and diversity of the arsenals used by Iran-backed terrorist groups.
Fox News Digital was given access to an IDF facility containing rockets, drones, sniper rifles, mortars, anti-tank weapons and automatic firearms. Israeli officials said the stockpile includes weapons traced to Iran, Russia and Chin, as well as some firearms dating back to Nazi Germany.
The collection highlights the wide range of weaponry Israeli forces say they have encountered since the October 7 Hamas attack and provides insight into the foreign-supplied arms used by terrorist organizations operating against Israel.
Meanwhile, an Israeli Home Front Command delegation known as the Alliance of Brothers is assisting emergency response efforts in Cali, Colombia, following a major earthquake. Israeli personnel are working alongside local volunteers at two major impact sites, helping search for and rescue people who may be trapped.
The Israeli team is also working with Colombian authorities to survey damaged structures, map affected areas and help establish priorities for the ongoing rescue and recovery operation.
In southern Lebanon, Lebanese media reported Israeli airstrikes targeting the Ali Taher Ridge following a Hezbollah explosive-drone attack that seriously wounded three Israeli soldiers. The reported strikes came after Israeli authorities warned residents in the Upper Galilee to expect explosions overnight as IDF operations continued in Lebanon.
At the same time, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu highlighted Israel’s developing relationship with Colombia following a conversation with Colombia’s newly elected leader. Netanyahu said he congratulated the incoming president on his election victory and welcomed his recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights and the relocation of Colombia’s embassy to Jerusalem.
Netanyahu described the developments as the beginning of a “new chapter” in Israeli-Colombian relations, adding that he expects the partnership between the two countries to continue growing.
