Haverstraw Ambulance Corps responded to 2,592 emergency calls during the first seven months of 2026, according to a community update released by the organization.

The monthly figures show the corps handled 385 calls in January, 310 in February, 303 in March, 276 in April, 443 in May, 411 in June and 464 in July. July was the busiest month of the period, followed by May.

Along with the call statistics, Haverstraw Ambulance Corps highlighted several recent upgrades to its operations and equipment.

The corps added a new ambulance, designated 51B5, to its emergency response fleet and introduced new first-aid tents for use at community events and other locations where on-site medical assistance may be needed.

The organization also upgraded its documentation system, including new equipment installed inside its emergency vehicles and improvements to its onboard setup.

The updates come as the volunteer ambulance corps continues handling hundreds of emergency calls each month throughout Haverstraw and the surrounding community.
