Planned Overnight Road Closures on Broadway, South 8th Street Postponed
YSR.
Planned overnight road closures that were scheduled to take place on Broadway and on South 8th Street in Williamsburg have been postponed until further notice.
The closures had been scheduled for August 3 through August 14 between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. as part of an MTA project involving the removal and installation of concession signs and billboards.
The work was expected to require the use of cranes, man-lifts, and other heavy equipment, resulting in full road closures on Broadway between Roebling Street and Havemeyer Street, as well as South 8th Street between Roebling Street and Broadway.
Officials have now announced that the project has been postponed and will not begin as originally scheduled.
A new schedule has not yet been released. Officials said updated dates will be announced once they are confirmed.
