
Simulated Water Rescue to Take Place Near Williamsburg Wednesday
Residents in the area of Flushing and Washington avenues should not be alarmed by emergency activity on Wednesday, as a simulated water rescue is scheduled to take place as part of a media production.
According to Notify NYC, the simulation is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, from 1:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. near Flushing Avenue and Washington Avenue in Brooklyn.
The NYPD will be on site during the production.
Residents and motorists in the area may notice police activity and what appears to be an emergency water rescue during the eight-hour production window. The activity is planned and is part of a simulation, according to the city notification.
Notify NYC issued the advisory in advance to make the public aware of the planned activity and police presence.
