The Village of Spring Valley is inviting residents to come together next month for a 9/11 Memorial Ceremony, as our nation marks 25 years since the September 11, 2001 terror attacks.
The ceremony will take place on Friday, September 11, at 11:00 a.m. outside Spring Valley Village Hall, located at 200 North Main Street. Residents, families and community members are encouraged to attend and join in remembering the lives lost on that tragic day.
The gathering will also honor the courage of the first responders and countless others who rushed toward danger to help save lives, giving residents a chance to reflect on a day that changed the world forever.
Village officials said the ceremony is meant to bring residents together in remembrance, whether they personally lost someone on 9/11, know a family that was affected, or simply to stand together united 25 years later.
In case of rain, the ceremony will be moved inside Village Hall. The village is encouraging residents to attend and stand together in solidarity on a day that changed so many lives and showed the strength, resilience, and unity we have as people and as a nation.
