A special Maamad Kviyas Mezuzah was held Tuesday afternoon at the new offices and warehouse of the Monsey Eruv, marking a major milestone as the organization prepares to move its operations into one large and newly prepared location.

The new 3,000-square-foot facility, located at 42 Grove Street in Spring Valley, will bring the Eruv’s offices, trucks, equipment, and materials together under one roof, making day-to-day operations easier and more organized.

Until now, the Eruv’s offices and vehicles were located in separate locations, while the trucks and equipment were kept outdoors. This created difficulties throughout the year and especially during the winter months, when snow and other bad weather could slow down operations.

The new location will provide indoor space for the trucks and materials, along with large office space for staff members and those involved in fundraising and other Eruv operations. It also includes a large conference room where Rabbanim and Dayanim can meet and discuss matters relating to the Eruv.

A total of 10 mezuzahs were placed throughout the new facility during Tuesday’s maamad, including on the offices, hallways, and other areas of the facility.

Rabbanim, Dayanim, Askonim, staff, and members of the Monsey Eruv team came together for the occasion, followed by a l’chaim celebrating the completion of a project into which considerable time, effort, and resources were invested.

Among those participating were numerous Admorim and Rabbanim, including the Vizhnitzer Rebbe, both Satmar Rabbanim, as well as Rabbanim and Dayanim from Pupa, Belz, Bobov-45, and other Kehillos.

The new facility is expected to give the Eruv team significantly more space and allow its different operations to work together from one central location, with room for the vehicles, materials, offices, meetings, and ongoing work needed to maintain the Eruv.

The Eruv of Monsey hopes to begin moving into the new location over the next week or two, bringing the long-awaited new facility into regular use.
