The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission is expanding access to REAL ID appointments, adding three more MVC agencies where residents can obtain the federally compliant licenses and identification cards.
Officials announced Tuesday that locations in Hazlet, Turnersville and Wallington are now booking REAL ID appointments through the MVC website. The expansion follows the addition of REAL ID services at several other locations earlier this summer as the state works to reduce appointment wait times.
More than 350,000 REAL IDs have been issued since the recent expansion, bringing New Jersey’s total to approximately 2.7 million. Initial REAL ID licenses and identification cards must be obtained in person at an MVC agency.
