Mrs. Emunah (Vera) Dechter, a cherished mother, grandmother, and longtime Inwood resident, passed away Tuesday, 5 Elul 5786, at the age of 95.

Born in Hamburg, Germany, Mrs. Dechter escaped the country as a young woman, arriving in America aboard one of the final ships to depart Germany.

Throughout her remarkable life, she was known for her extraordinary strength, dedication, dignity, and unwavering “Emunah”. Mrs. Dechter was the dedicated secretary at Yeshivas Shor Yoshuv for over 40 years!
