Jackson Township, MUA Continue Talks Over Proposed Sale of 5 Acres

Jackson Township officials and the township Municipal Utilities Authority (MUA) say they are continuing discussions over a proposed sale of more than five acres of property that was originally acquired by the MUA to support future infrastructure needs.

Township Council President Burnstein, Council Vice President Palmeri and Business Administrator Terenfko met with Jackson MUA Chairman Porter, Executive Director Roman and Assistant Executive Director Diaz to discuss the proposed sale.

The property was originally sold to the MUA for the purpose of supporting future MUA infrastructure needs.

According to the statement, both sides believe they can reach a mutually agreeable resolution in the near future.

The statement did not disclose the proposed sale price, the identity of a potential buyer or other terms of the transaction.
