New Jersey Lt. Governor and Secretary of State Dr. Dale G. Caldwell met Wednesday with a group of community leaders for a meet-and-greet ahead of the upcoming High Holidays.
Those attending included Lakewood Township Committeeman Meir Lichtenstein; Chanie Jacobowitz, Vice President of Government Affairs and Compliance at Beth Medrash Govoha; Linden community activist Mendy Stern; Teaneck Deputy Mayor Elie Katz; and Rabbi Ari Herson, representing his father, Rabbi Mendy Herson, Dean of Chabad of Greater New Jersey.
The gathering was arranged by longtime community leader and law enforcement chaplain Rabbi Abe Friedman and provided an opportunity for Caldwell to meet with representatives of Jewish communities from across New Jersey ahead of the Yom Tov season.
Following the meeting, the group presented Caldwell with a special Mezuzah Award as a gesture of appreciation and recognition.
