Historic Viznitz-Monsey Nesia to Begin Wednesday, With Thousands Joining Rebbe for Shabbos in Meron
Thousands of Viznitz-Monsey chasidim and talmidim are preparing for a historic Nesia to Eretz Yisroel starting this Wednesday, as the Viznitz-Monsey Rebbe shlita departs for the highly anticipated weeklong “Masa Hakodesh,” highlighted by an uplifting Shabbos in Meron.
The massive nesia, which has been months in the making, is expected to draw thousands of chasidim, including hundreds of talmidei hayeshivos, for what will be the Rebbe’s first trip to Eretz Yisroel accompanied by such a large contingent of chasidim.
The Rebbe is scheduled to depart Wednesday, Parshas Ki Savo, and remain in Eretz Yisroel through the following Wednesday, Parshas Nitzavim-Vayeilech. Throughout the week, the Rebbe is expected to visit kivrei tzaddikim and mekomos hakedoshim and meet with prominent Admorim and Rabbanim.
The highlight of the Nesia will be the major Shabbos in Meron, near the tziyun of the Tanna Reb Shimon Bar Yochai, where the Rebbe will spend Shabbos together with the thousands of participants.
A major highlight is also planned for Motzei Shabbos, when renowned mashpia Reb Elimelech Biderman shlita will lead a massive hadlakah in Meron, expected to become one of the most memorable and uplifting moments of the entire journey.
The trip follows an announcement made by the Rebbe last year to the yeshiva bochurim that those who dedicate themselves to their studies and successfully complete bechinos on the masechtos being learned as part of the “Torasi” seder halimud would earn the opportunity to accompany the Rebbe on the journey.
