
Ocean County Auctions Off More Than 100 Surplus Vehicles and Equipment
Ocean County has opened an online public auction featuring more than 100 surplus vehicles and pieces of equipment, with bidding underway through Tuesday, August 25.
The auction is being conducted online through USGovBid.com, where bidders can view photos and descriptions of the available items. Bidding opened at 9 a.m. Saturday, August 22, and will close at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Residents interested in seeing the items in person can attend a public preview on Monday, August 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 152 Chestnut Street in Toms River.
Bidders must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Participants are required to create an account and submit the required bidder deposit before receiving a five-digit government bidding number. All vehicles and equipment are being sold in as-is condition.
Ocean County officials, employees and members of their immediate households are prohibited from participating in the auction. Individuals are also prohibited from bidding on their behalf.
