Jewish Breaking NewsWATCH: Emotional Scenes From the Western Wall as Freed Hostages Join Tens of Thousands for Selichot at the Western Wall
Tens of thousands gathered at Jerusalem’s Western Wall on Saturday night for a powerful Selichot service joined by freed hostages Noa Argamani, Itay Regev, , Bar Kupershtein and Eliya Cohen, along with his wife Nova massacre survivor Ziv Abud Cohen.
Kupershtein shared that while imprisoned in a Hamas tunnel, he and five other hostages made the courageous decision to fast on Tisha B’Av, holding onto their faith and hope for freedom.
Newlyweds Eliya and Ziv also came to thank God for the miracle of their survival. Eliya endured 505 days in Hamas captivity, while Ziv survived the massacre inside the Nova festival’s “death shelter.”
Together with the massive crowd, they offered prayers of gratitude for those who returned, and prayed for Israel’s soldiers and security forces, national unity, and the peace and security of Israel.
