Williamsburg Bridge Lane Closures Scheduled for Wednesday Night and Friday Daytime Amid Ongoing Rehabilitation Work
Drivers using the Williamsburg Bridge should prepare for lane closures this coming Wednesday and Friday as the NYC Department of Transportation continues maintenance and rehabilitation work on the bridge.
According to an NYCDOT notice, rolling single-lane closures will take place on both the inner and outer roadways of the Williamsburg Bridge, with only one lane being closed at a time.
The first closures are scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. The second round will take place during daytime hours on Friday, August 28, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
The work is part of NYCDOT's ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation of the Williamsburg Bridge. Motorists traveling between Williamsburg and Manhattan during the scheduled work periods should allow additional travel time and be prepared for possible delays.
NYCDOT says questions or concerns regarding the work can be directed to the project's community liaison, while general inquiries regarding city construction projects can also be made through 311.
