A major new expansion is planned for the Satmar shul on 18th Avenue near 58th Street, after the shul purchased an additional property directly next to its current building.

The newly acquired lot will be incorporated into the existing shul property as part of a large-scale expansion, significantly increasing the space available for the growing Beis Medrash.

The latest move comes after the shul itself underwent a major construction and renovation project. As previously reported by BoroPark24 in 2024, the expanded Beis Medrash was completed at the time following years of work.

Now, just over a year later, the purchase of the neighboring property is setting the stage for the next major phase of growth, with plans to combine the additional lot into the shul complex.

Further details on the design and scope of the expansion are expected to become available as planning for the project moves forward, adding to the already beautiful, newly renovated shul, with a large beis medrash, beautiful mikvah, and majestic accommodations.
