WASHINGTON — Rabbi Moshe Margaretten, President of the Tzedek Association, met with United States Attorney General Todd Blanche on Tuesday afternoon at the Department of Justice.  

The high-level meeting marks the first time Tzedek leadership has met with Blanche since his confirmation as the 88th Attorney General, though the organization previously held several meetings with him during his tenure as Deputy Attorney General.

Tzedek tells Belaaz that Blanche himself extended the invite to Margeretten.

During the session, AG Blanche expressed gratitude to Tzedek for their strong support during his Senate confirmation process, specifically thanking them for the formal letter sent to President Trump endorsing his nomination to lead the Justice Department.

Belaaz is told that the discussion focused on key criminal justice policy initiatives, including expanding First Step Act Implementation and additional justice reform legislation that Tzedek is actively advancing in coordination with the DOJ.
