YS GOLD
Reb Shloime Friedman has been appointed as the official community liaison at Westchester Medical Center, establishing a dedicated address for members of the community who need assistance while receiving care at the hospital.
Reb Shloime has long served as an askan assisting community members at Westchester Medical Center. The official appointment follows the endorsement and advocacy of Bikur Cholim of Rockland, Hatzoloh of Rockland and other medical organizations, who worked to establish a formal liaison between the community and Westchester Medical Center.
Dr. Lubarsky, CEO of Westchester Medical Center, made the appointment, recognizing the importance of having a designated representative to facilitate communication and advocate for the needs of community members and their families—an illustration of WMC’s commitment to growing their relationship with our community.
As the official liaison, Reb Shloime will serve as a point of contact for community members who have questions or concerns during their time at Westchester Medical Center. His role will include helping patients and families navigate the hospital system, expediting appointments when possible, and communicating patient needs to the appropriate hospital personnel.
Community organizations welcomed the appointment, noting the value of strengthening communication between the community and Westchester Medical Center and ensuring that the needs of patients are properly conveyed. The community also expressed its appreciation to Dr. Lubarsky and Westchester Medical Center for their commitment to strengthening the relationship with the local community.
