
Brick Man Killed, Several Others Injured, in Double-Overturn Crash On The I-195 In Jackson
A 73-year-old Brick man was killed Wednesday night and four others were injured in a motor vehicle crash on I-195 in Jackson Township, New Jersey State Police told TLS this morning.
According to a preliminary investigation, William H. Wright Jr., 73, of Brick, was driving a Ford SUV eastbound when the crash occurred around 9 p.m. on the I-195 near milepost 23.6. Wright lost directional control of his Ford and struck a Toyota SUV, as well as a second Ford SUV which was also traveling eastbound in the area.
During the collision, both Ford SUVs overturned.
Wright sustained fatal injuries in the crash. The passenger of the Toyota, the driver of the second Ford, and two passengers of the second Ford sustained minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
