The IDF and Shin Bet carried out targeted strikes in Khan Younis, eliminating two Hamas Nukhba operatives who infiltrated the Re’im base during the October 7 massacre. One of those killed, Razeq Sahil Suleiman Abu Shahma, previously served as Yahya Sinwar’s bodyguard.
The IDF said the terrorists were recently working to rebuild Hamas’s capabilities and advance attacks against Israeli troops and civilians, violating the cease-fire. Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said the pursuit of October 7 terrorists “continues.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has repeatedly stressed that Israel will not allow Hamas to rebuild or return to the pre-October 7 reality, saying, “There will be no return to the state of affairs prior to October 7.”
