A grand new chapter is unfolding for the Skverer Chassidus, with plans officially announced today for a magnificent new building that will house a massive Heichel HaTorah together with a grand Tish Shteeb, creating two major new centers of Torah and Chassidic life in the heart of New Square.

The first floor of the new building will feature an expansive Heichel HaTorah, providing a large and dedicated setting for learning throughout the day. Rising above it will be the magnificent new Tish Shteeb, designed to accommodate the major tishen, simchas, and gatherings of the Skverer court for generations to come.

A major fundraising campaign to support the ambitious building project is set to launch in the coming days.

The site has been closed for the past three weeks after a section of the ceiling in the historic old Beis Medrash suddenly collapsed. In what community members are calling an absolute miracle, no one was injured during the collapse. Following the incident, structural engineers and safety experts thoroughly evaluated the building's integrity. For safety reasons, the historic structure was immediately closed, with all regular minyanim, shiurim, and services relocated to the nearby new, gigantic main Shul. 

The old Beis Medrash building will be demolished to make way for the grand new project. The new Heichel HaTorah and Tish Shteeb are expected to become central pillars of daily life in the Skverer court, providing expansive new space for continuous Torah learning, as well as for the major tishen and gatherings of the growing Chassidus.

As per the current plans, the project is expected to be completed in time for Rosh Hashana 5787.
