A U.K. Cabinet official, who has not been identified, is being investigated after posting on their private Instagram a photo of a younger Dolly Parton wearing a pink party dress with the caption, “It should have been Netanyahu.”

The post displayed other slides with messages such as, “Dolly Parton was two years older than Israel when she died” and “It’s a cruel world that Dolly Parton is gone, but Benjamin Netanyahu is still here.”

“All civil servants are bound by the Civil Service Code and social media rules, which set out clear guidelines for appropriate communications on personal accounts,” a Cabinet Office spokesperson told The Jewish Chronicle. “This post is clearly unacceptable and appropriate steps are being taken.”

Dolly Parton passed away Tuesday after a brief battle with cancer.

While known as a country singer, she had massive crossover appeal that reached beyond her roots in country music. In the late 1970s and 1980s, she released songs that became hits for fans of both country and pop. Some of her songs, like “Here You Come Again,” reached the top of both the country music and pop charts.

Parton’s family announced her passing Tuesday, saying she died peacefully after a brief bout with cancer, surrounded by her loved ones. Her nephew and head of security, Bryan Seaver, made the announcement in a prerecorded video posted on Instagram, fulfilling a request she had made years before. Seaver said that she had asked him to be the one to announce her death and that she shared with him her wish to rest in a “beautiful bed of plush cotton,” explaining that after years of wearing heavy, glamorous rhinestones, she wished to feel comfortable at the end.
