CHICAGO (VINnews) — United Airlines said it will restore nonstop service between Tel Aviv and San Francisco on March 28, 2027, operating three flights a week after suspending the route following the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack and the war that followed.

The flights will reconnect Israel with Silicon Valley. United said the route will offer more business-class seats between the two cities than any other airline.

El Al is scheduled to begin the same nonstop service several months earlier, in October 2026.

United described the return as part of the largest international network expansion in its history, which also adds multiple new destinations across Europe and Asia.

The original Tel Aviv-San Francisco route launched in 2016 after strong demand from Israeli technology professionals living in the Bay Area. United has also said it plans to resume other U.S.-Israel services, including Tel Aviv-Newark flights, before the San Francisco route returns.
