Israeli drivers are facing another sharp increase at the pump, with the maximum price of self-service 95-octane gasoline rising 16 agorot to NIS 8.25 per liter at midnight Monday night. The new price matches Israel’s all-time nominal record, first reached in 2012.

The jump follows last month’s massive 61-agorot increase, meaning gasoline has climbed 77 agorot in just two months. A 50-liter fill-up will now cost NIS 412.50 before full-service fees.

Officials say international gasoline prices rose roughly 6%, while an excise-tax adjustment and a higher marketing margin added further pressure. A stronger shekel partially offset the increase.
