
Far Rockaway Man Arrested in Inwood E-Bike Robbery, Stolen Gun Recovered

INWOOD, N.Y. (Aug. 31, 2026) — The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of a Far Rockaway man for an incident that occurred on Saturday, August 29th at 9:34 pm in Inwood.
According to Detectives, two 15-year-old males were riding an E-Bike near Bayview Avenue when they were approached by an unknown male subject. The subject brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s E-Bike.
The victims, in fear for their life, complied and the subject fled the scene on the E-bike. Fourth Precinct officers conducted a thorough investigation and located defendant, L**** S****, 26, of Village Lane and placed him into police custody without incident. A stolen firearm was recovered. No injuries were reported.
The Defendant is charged with Robbery 1st Degree, two counts of Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree and Menacing 2nd Degree.
He was arraigned on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
