From Mayor to National Jewish Voice: Groisman Announces New Book

Aug 31, 2026·3 min read

MIAMI (VINnews) -Gabriel Groisman, the former mayor of Bal Harbour, Florida, who has become a prominent national voice in the fight against antisemitism since leaving office, announced Monday that his new book, “The Jewish Fight for America,” will be released in December by Gefen Publishing House.

Groisman said the book grew out of three questions he is frequently asked: What is happening to Jews in America, how serious is the situation, and what can be done about it?

Groisman said the book grew out of three questions he frequently receives: “what is actually happening to Jews in America, how serious is it, and what can we do about it?!”
The book will examine what Groisman describes as urgent challenges both within and outside the Jewish community, including growing apathy and assimilation, political and ideological divisions on the left and right, the increasingly complicated political landscape and the fight against antisemitism.

He also plans to explore the role of Israel in Jewish identity in the diaspora and makes the case for why American Jews should be invested in the future of the United States.

“The book will take the reader through the fights we must urgently take on internally against growing apathy and assimilation, against the dangerous ideologies on the left and on the right, the fraught and delicate political landscape, the fight against antisemitism, the fight to keep Israel as an integral part of the Jewish identity in the diaspora, and finally why we must fight for America,” Groisman wrote.

Groisman served as mayor of Bal Harbour from 2016 to 2022 and gained national attention for his advocacy against antisemitism and the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement targeting Israel. Since leaving office, he has continued to speak nationally about antisemitism, Israel and Jewish identity.

The book is scheduled for release in December, with launch events planned across the country from December through the spring.

“If you can fill a room, I will come,” Groisman wrote, inviting communities and organizations interested in hosting an event to contact him.

He said the cover, preorder links and bulk preorder pricing for organizations will be announced soon.
