Shin Bet chief David Zini visited the Chabad-Lubavitch World Headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights Tuesday during a state visit to the United States.

Zini, accompanied by security personnel and Chabad community leaders, toured the synagogue, which is so iconic that it is simply known as “770,” and the nearby yeshiva. He met with local Chabad leaders and asked about the yeshiva students’ learning schedule and curriculum. He also met with Rabbi Yekusiel Feldman, a spiritual mentor at 770, and Rabbi Mendel Eisenbach, who manages the World Lubavitch Communications Center.

Later, Zini spoke to the locals as he strolled down Kingston Avenue.

The director of the Shin Bet was “warmly received by community leaders,” wrote Crown Heights Jewish community leader and police chaplain Rabbi Chanina Sperlin on social media.

“David Zini, Director of Shin Bet, Israel’s Security and Counterintelligence Service, and a longtime ally and friend of the Chabad-Lubavitch community in Israel, visited 770 Eastern Parkway, Chabad World Headquarters in Brooklyn, where he was warmly received by community leaders,” he wrote.
