Delegation of Rebbes Holds Historic White House Meeting With President Trump
A delegation of Rabbanim met with President Trump at the White House Wednesday in what attendees are calling a historic meeting.

Before the Oval Office sit-down, the group met in the Roosevelt Room with Jewish White House council Will Scharf and White House Jewish liason Martin Marks.
Belaaz is told Vice President Vance made a surprise stop-by during that time, where he praised raising large families. Vance’s visit came shortly after Vance held his first White House press briefing in over 40 days, where he addressed recent criticism on his friendship with Tucker Carlson and refused to call out the antisemite.

During the Oval Office meeting, the Rebbes thanked President Trump for the First Step Act and for administration efforts on expanding access to IVF treatment.
Belaaz is told Jared Kushner and Secretary of State Marco Rubio both attended the meeting between President Trump and the Rebbes.
Sources describe the atmosphere as warm, with President Trump laughing with the delegation at points. The Satmar Rebbe Reb Zalman Leib asked the president to keep “our brothers in Israel” in mind, Belaaz was told.

Belaaz is further told that the Bobover Rebbe’s gabbai was initially not permitted into the Oval Office. After Kushner received a call or message from billionaire Bobov donor Izzy Englander, Kushner stepped out himself and brought the gabbai in.
Belaaz had the honor to speak with BMG Rosh Yeshivah HaGaon Reb Malkiel Kotler Shlita following his meeting with President Trump. Reb Malkiel shared that the conversation with the President was light and calm, with laughing throughout, and that the Rabbanim presented President Trump with thank-you letters.
