Chaverim of Rockland held its annual members and dispatchers appreciation barbecue Thursday night, bringing together volunteers, elected officials, askanim, and community leaders for an evening recognizing the people who help keep the organization running all year round. 

The event, held at the main headquarters on Saddle River Road, served as the organization’s yearly opportunity to thank its members and dispatchers for the hours of service and dedication throughout the year assisting residents across Rockland County.

This year’s gathering also included a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a large new dispatch center at the headquarters, marking another major expansion for the organization and giving its dispatch operation a more centralized base.

Chaverim also unveiled a new pickup truck that will be added to its fleet, strengthening the organization’s ability to respond to calls and support members in the field.

The annual barbecue combined appreciation with growth, giving members and dispatchers a chance to gather together while also marking two new additions that will help expand operations across the area.
