U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee slammed the British government after its foreign minister, Ed Miliband, accused Israel of blocking medication from entering Gaza Saturday.

“The Brits have lost it. The Jew hate of their government knows no boundaries and knows no facts,” he seethed on X.

The Israel Foreign Ministry also bitterly denounced Miliband, who is Jewish.

Referring to a video Miliband posted of himself discussing the matter, the Foreign Ministry wrote on X:

“If the Foreign Secretary were interested in facts rather than stories, he would know that there are no restrictions whatsoever on the entry of medicines into the Gaza Strip, and that no medicines are being blocked; that 22,500 tons of medical supplies have entered Gaza since the ceasefire began; and that Gazans exit the Strip for medical treatment, including 200 who did so in just the last two weeks.

“And of course, the British Foreign Secretary is well aware of all this, as the UK is a member of the International Gaza Support Center, which facilitates the delivery of medical aid to the Gaza Strip.

“But apparently, facts matter less (when making a video for a political audience).”

In the video, Miliband said he heard recurring horror stories of people dying while waiting for medication that Israel blocked from entering Gaza.

“So I just came out of this meeting, talking about Gaza to people who’ve been there and are there on the ground, and frankly, it was horrific what is unfolding,” he said. “You know, the stories that people were telling me of medicines being blocked, children dying while waiting for vital life-saving treatment.”

“When you hear that account of what is happening, you know that we, as a UK government, as the Prime Minister has said, have got to act and act more decisively than we have,” he added.

Just two days before this spat, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) posted on X that 22,500 tons of medical supplies had entered Gaza since the October 2025 ceasefire and that there are no restrictions on medications entering the Strip.

“Since the start of the ceasefire, more than 22,500 tons of medical supplies have entered the Strip. Medicines enter Gaza without restriction, alongside the continuous entry of medical equipment coordinated with the UN and approved organizations,” COGAT posted Thursday on X. “In addition, specific mechanisms are in place to import advanced medical equipment for international organizations, with careful consideration of security concerns, such as generators, X-ray machines, oxygen concentrators, and more equipment.”

“COGAT works to expand medical capacity in Gaza, with hospital bed capacity growing by more than 50% since the start of the ceasefire, according to WHO [World Health Organization] data,” COGAT added.

“Additionally, many hospitals and other medical centers are currently operating across the entire Strip. According to WHO data, across Gaza, there are 20 permanent hospitals, 15 field hospitals, 107 medical points, and 146 PHC clinics,” the organization said.

Miliband has been squabbling with the Israel Foreign Ministry in the past week over the construction of buildings in E1 in Judea, threatening to impose a “comprehensive package of measures” to stop what he says is the prevention of a two-state solution. In response, Israel said it would consider expelling British diplomats from the Gaza coordination center, among other more severe options.
