Ocean County Mourns Passing of Longtime Buildings and Grounds Superintendent Joseph Meyers Jr.

Ocean County officials are mourning the passing of Joseph Meyers Jr., the county’s longtime Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds, following more than four decades of public service.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office announced Meyers’ passing, remembering him as a trusted and deeply knowledgeable public servant whose experience benefited the county for many years.

“Over more than four decades of public service, Joe was a trusted source of knowledge and experience,” the Prosecutor’s Office said. “His dedication to public service will long be remembered, and his work will remain a lasting testament to a life devoted to serving the people of Ocean County.”

Officials extended their condolences to Meyers’ family, friends and colleagues, saying he will be deeply missed throughout the Ocean County community.
