An Israeli man was seriously wounded Monday morning when a Palestinian terrorist infiltrated the Maoz Yehuda Farm in central Samaria and repeatedly stabbed him before fleeing the scene.

Hatzalah Judea and Samaria said the victim suffered multiple stab wounds to his upper body and hand. The brutal assault reportedly continued until the terrorist’s knife broke.

Emergency personnel treated the victim at the scene before evacuating him to Rabin Medical Center in Petach Tikvah.

IDF forces quickly established roadblocks throughout the area and launched an intensive search for the attacker. Approximately one hour later, soldiers located him near his vehicle outside the Arab town of Qabalan.

According to the IDF, the terrorist attempted to stab the troops when they confronted him. An Israeli commander opened fire and eliminated him.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the soldiers for swiftly tracking down the attacker.

“No terrorist has anywhere to hide,” Netanyahu said, while wishing the wounded Israeli a complete and speedy recovery.

Netanyahu vowed that Israel would continue eliminating terrorists, pursuing those responsible for sending them and destroying terrorist infrastructure throughout Judea and Samaria.

Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel’s policy remains focused on aggressively confronting Palestinian terrorism, strengthening Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria and preserving security throughout the region.

Katz noted that terrorism in Judea and Samaria is currently at its lowest level in decades but warned that Israel would take every necessary measure to prevent another prolonged wave of attacks.

He also revealed that he and Netanyahu had instructed the IDF to prepare for a broad campaign against Palestinian Authority forces and terrorist networks if PA weapons are turned against Israel.

Such an operation, Katz said, could include targeted strikes against senior figures, evacuating residents from areas being used as terrorist strongholds and maintaining a permanent IDF presence in those locations, similar to operations conducted in Gaza, Lebanon, Jenin and northern Samaria.

“We will not allow a return to the reality of Oct. 7,” Katz said, pledging to protect Israeli residents and communities across the country.

Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan expressed support for the IDF soldiers and commanders involved in the operation and prayed for the victim’s recovery.

Dagan also called for an extensive military campaign in the area to confiscate illegal weapons and dismantle the networks supporting terrorism.

He vowed that terrorism would not force the Jewish people from Samaria and that Israeli communities in the region would continue to grow.
