GnasherJew, a Jewish group that uses open-source intelligence to expose extremism, Holocaust denial, and antisemitism, has revealed that the London Humanitarian Bank for Gaza was established by someone with ties to terrorists.

The London Humanitarian Bank for Gaza was founded by Yusuf Husam Al-Dremali and organized by Roja Kerr, a London-based activist who calls herself “Watermelon Woman” on her Instagram account, and Anika Zahir, a pro-Hamas activist.

Online video footage shows Kerr wearing a watermelon costume and dancing to Arabic music.

One of Al-Dremali’s relatives, Saber Faraj Al-Dremali, participated in the Oct. 7 attack and died of wounds sustained during the fighting, and another, Ahmed Ziyad Youssef Al-Dremali, is a commander in Hamas’ Arrow Unit, a plainclothes police unit that uses torture to suppress dissent against Hamas. According to GnasherJew, the London Humanitarian Bank for Gaza “is actively promoting and collecting funds for his fundraising efforts.”

“A review of the London Humanitarian Bank for Gaza, a small non-registered group, along with Roja Kerr’s online activity, shows that they actively promote Yusuf’s personal donation campaign and collect funds on his behalf. Additionally, this allegedly ‘humanitarian’ group follows an Iran-based antisemitic account on Instagram, as well as another account that features Hitler … as its profile picture,” GnasherJew reported.

The group called on the Metropolitan Police to investigate the London Humanitarian Bank for Gaza.

“As previously stated, we believe that many terror-linked individuals in Gaza, such as the Al-Dremali family in this case, exploit crowdfunding services to collect funds for illicit and harmful purposes. The apparent lack of due diligence practices on online platforms like GoFundMe and Chuffed calls for a thorough investigation into the potential misuse of their services. We also urge the Metropolitan Police to investigate Roja Kerr and Anika Zhir for alleged terror offenses,” the group stated on its website.
