Boro Park families will have something exciting to look forward to this Chol Hamoed Sukkos, as the Boro Park Jewish Community Council (BPJCC) is preparing a massive, full-day extravaganza filled with rides, shows, concerts, and family entertainment — all completely free of charge.

The newly announced event will bring to Sukkos the same type of large-scale Chol Hamoed experience that has become a highlight of Pesach in Boro Park for years. BPJCC’s Pesach program, originally launched through the efforts of Simcha Felder and later continued with funding secured by Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein, has grown into a three-day celebration stretching across four blocks and drawing more than 10,000 children in recent years.

Now, for the first time in many years, that experience is being expanded to Sukkos. Funding secured by State Senator Sam Sutton, in partnership with Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein, will make possible a full day of Chol Hamoed programming on 18th Avenue, with organizers planning a program on an even larger scale than the popular Pesach events, featuring a spectacular, expanded lineup of extremely exciting rides, live entertainment, concerts, shows, free giveaways, carnival attractions, petting zoos, and so much more.

State Senator Sam Sutton, in a statement to the community announcing the new Chol Hamoed Sukkos program, said, “Chol Hamoed Sukkos is a special opportunity when families should have available and affordable opportunities to come together and enjoy Yuntif as a family. That’s why I’m proud to work together with the BPJCC to bring free, family-friendly programming to our community for Sukkos.

“Building on the success of the BPJCC and Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein’s Chol Hamoed Pesach Extravaganza, I was privileged to secure funding for a full day of activities and entertainment for families to enjoy this Chol Hamoed Sukkos. Our families deserve opportunities like this to enjoy the Yuntif, and I look forward to seeing thousands of families come out and enjoy this beautiful day of fun together!”

Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein, welcoming the expansion of the popular Chol Hamoed program to Sukkos, said, “The upcoming Sukkos Chol Hamoed Extravaganza promises to be as fun and exciting as the Pesach events we have presented in the past. Beyond the program’s large scale, BPJCC officials say one of its most meaningful aspects is what it offers families during Yom Tov: an entire day of high-caliber entertainment without adding another expense. With Chol Hamoed outings often becoming a significant part of a family’s Yom Tov budget, the program is designed to give thousands of parents and children a special day together while keeping the entire experience accessible to everyone.

“Being able to add this kind of Simchas Yom Tov for thousands of Boro Park families is incredibly special,” BPJCC CEO Avi Greenstein said. “Thanks to Senator Sam Sutton, together with Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein, families will be able to enjoy an exceptional day of Chol Hamoed entertainment of the highest caliber without it costing them a dime.”

The event is scheduled for Thursday, October 1st, the fourth day of Chol Hamoed Sukkos, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A large sukkah will be set up on site to comfortably accommodate the large crowds expected throughout the day. BPJCC says more exciting information will be announced shortly as preparations continue for what organizers expect to become a major Chol Hamoed highlight for the entire Boro Park community.
