Jane Remover Gets Removed After Demanding Festival Drop Israeli Band
American singer Jane Remover gave the organizers of the M3F Festival in Phoenix, Ariz., an ultimatum: Drop the Israeli alt-rock band Temper City from the lineup or she’s out.
“Take this IDF band off the lineup, or I’m not performing,” she was reported as saying.
The festival organizers released the official 2027 lineup poster Sunday, and Jane Remover was dropped from the lineup. The artist Flying Lotus replaced her, while the Israeli band remained in the lineup. It’s unclear if the organizers dropped her or if she made good on her threat.
One social media user quipped that “Jane Remover has been removed.”
Hasan Piker, the anti-Israel, antisemitic streamer who has campaigned with prominent Democrats like Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic U.S. Senate candidate in Michigan, reacted to the incident by expressing admiration for Jane Remover.
“Yeah, Jane Remover left the festival lineup because of, ‘get the IDF band off the lineup or I’m not playing,'” he said.
“Beast mode,” he added, saying that “it’s me in a different life.”
