Member of Knesset Limor Son Har-Melech praised the IDF killing of Farah Ahmad Hamed Wednesday, saying that the incident represented “another closing of the circle.”

Har-Melech was the wife of Shalom Har-Melech, whom Hamed killed in 2003 in a drive-by shooting. Hamed, who was sentenced to three life terms, was freed in the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange deal in 2011 that also saw the release of Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind of the Oct. 7 attack on Israel. Limor was seven months pregnant and was injured, but her baby was safely delivered via C-section.

“Another circle closed!” she posted on X.

“Farah Hamed, one of the senior figures in Hamas’s military wing and a member of the Silwad cell that murdered my man Shuli Har-Melech, may God avenge his blood, was thankfully eliminated today in the Gaza Strip,” she wrote.

In her post, Har-Melech pushed for the death penalty for terrorists that she had advocated for in her tenure as an MK.

“His release, along with the release of the other murderers, is the proof of the existential need for the death penalty law for terrorists that we were privileged to pass about half a year ago,” she said. “Let every terrorist who murders Jews know: even if he is released, even if he flees, and even if many years pass, the long arm of the people of Israel will reach him.”

She concluded by thanking the IDF for bringing her closure.

“Thank you to the IDF fighters and the security forces who closed an important and painful circle today. May the memory of Shuli and all the Silwad murder victims be blessed,” she said.
