New Jersey Gas Prices Jump Again, Statewide Average Reaches $4.36 a Gallon
Gas prices across New Jersey jumped again Thursday, with the statewide average for regular gasoline climbing to approximately $4.36 per gallon.
AAA data shows prices increased by about five cents overnight as motorists continue dealing with rapidly rising costs at the pump.
Prices can vary significantly from station to station. In Edison on Thursday morning, two stations located across the street from each other were charging $4.49 and $4.17 per gallon, respectively.
The latest increase comes just days after New Jersey’s statewide average stood at approximately $4.27 per gallon, meaning drivers are now paying nearly nine cents more per gallon than at the beginning of the week.
Motorists are being encouraged to compare prices before filling up, as significant differences are being reported even among stations located in the same area.
