Argentina’s Pro-Israel President Javier Milei to Visit Yeshiva Darchei Torah After Yom Kippur
President Javier Milei of Argentina, widely regarded as one of Israel’s strongest international supporters, is scheduled to visit Yeshiva Darchei Torah on Tuesday, September 22, the day after Yom Kippur, during his time in New York for the United Nations General Assembly. Milei has repeatedly expressed his support for Israel and the Jewish people, and recently participated in events honoring the Rebbe and addressed Yeshiva University. Milei is a tremendous Oheiv Yisroel and a true friend of the Jewish people, and it will be a tremendous honor for our community to welcome him.
The yeshiva sent the following letter to parents regarding the special visit:
“Dear Parents,
Yeshiva Darchei Torah will be welcoming a unique and distinguished guest to our campus on Tuesday, September 22 (the day after Yom Kippur): His Excellency Mr. Javier Milei, President of Argentina.
President Milei is a world leader who, at a time of growing anti-Semitism, is a rare and steadfast supporter of the Jewish people. The president will be in New York that day for the U.N. General Assembly and is eager to visit our yeshiva, one of the largest of its kind in North America, and to address our students.
Because of the visit’s specific schedule and security requirements, there will be changes to some Yeshiva dismissal times and procedures that day. Please watch your email for details.”
