Construction is underway on a new sidewalk project in the Village of Nyack aimed at creating safer and more accessible routes for students and families.
Work has begun along the west side of Summit Street between Cedar Hill Avenue and Main Street as part of the village’s Safe Routes to School initiative. Construction on the west side of the street is expected to continue for approximately two weeks.
The project is designed to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility, particularly for students traveling to and from school, while also providing improved walking conditions for residents throughout the area.
Village officials are asking drivers and pedestrians to use caution around the construction zone while work continues.
