New York State Police Launch Six-Day Speeding and Aggressive Driving Crackdown
Yisroel R.
New York State Police has launched a six-day statewide traffic enforcement campaign beginning Tuesday, September 22, targeting speeding and aggressive driving as part of an initiative called “Fall Safe Speed.”
The campaign will continue through Sunday, September 27, with state troopers increasing enforcement across New York State in an effort to crack down on dangerous driving and improve roadway safety.
During the campaign, troopers will use both marked State Police vehicles and Concealed Identity Traffic Enforcement (CITE) vehicles, which blend in with regular traffic but become recognizable as emergency vehicles when their lights are activated.
In addition to speeding and aggressive driving, troopers will be watching for distracted and impaired drivers, seat belt violations, and motorists who fail to comply with New York’s Move Over Law.
