JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is putting in a word for the plumbing business of Yaniv Hayun, the passenger hailed as a hero after helping subdue an alleged attacker aboard a Flydubai flight.
Netanyahu posted a screenshot Thursday of Hayun’s business profile on the Israeli service-review website Midrag, writing: “Yaniv Hayun is a hero who saved many lives. He can help you too, I highly recommend!”

The unusual endorsement comes one day after Netanyahu met Hayun at Ben Gurion Airport following the passenger’s return to Israel.
During their conversation, Netanyahu asked Hayun what he does for a living. Hayun replied that he is a plumber.
Hayun had just arrived after helping other passengers overpower the co-pilot of Flydubai Flight FZ1073, who allegedly attacked the captain and took control of the aircraft as it plunged sharply.
Hayun told Netanyahu that after helping restrain the attacker, he returned to the cockpit and pulled back on the aircraft’s controls to help stabilize the plane.
When Netanyahu asked how he knew what to do, Hayun replied that he watches “Air Crash Investigation,” a television program about aviation disasters.
Hayun’s Midrag profile lists an overall rating of 9.93 based on 107 verified customer reviews.
The prime minister’s post quickly drew attention online, turning an extraordinary story of heroism into an equally unusual business endorsement.
