An American tourist was arrested Sunday evening after arriving at the Kirya, the IDF headquarters in Tel Aviv, and arousing suspicion. According to the suspicion, the tourist photographed the site and told people nearby that he was planning to carry out an attack.

Police said Monday morning that officers from the Lev Tel Aviv station in the Yarkon District transferred him for questioning on the circumstances of the incident, and he was sent for a psychiatric evaluation.

The suspect will be brought before a court, where police will ask to extend his detention.
