Shin Bet Director David Zini delivered an unusual warning at the most recent Security Cabinet meeting on Sunday, telling ministers there is a danger of terror emerging from the heart of Israel, from areas where Bedouins live.

“There are places in the Bedouin encampments with military infrastructure that we are thwarting all the time, attempts to establish military-style battalions. It is a very worrying phenomenon,” Zini told the ministers.

The remarks were made during a cabinet session that dealt with threats from Gaza and Judea and Samaria.
