South Toms River Man Pleads Guilty to Armed Robberies in Toms River and Lacey Township
A South Toms River man has pleaded guilty to two robbery charges stemming from armed robberies committed days apart in Toms River and Lacey Township, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced.
Kenneth Grant, 58, pleaded guilty Monday before Superior Court Judge Kenneth T. Palmer in connection with the March 6 robbery of a Wawa on Route 70 in Toms River and the March 9 robbery of a TD Bank in Lacey Township.
Authorities said Grant displayed a firearm and demanded money during both incidents before fleeing with cash.
Investigators identified Grant as the suspect, and he was taken into custody in Newark on March 26 by Lacey Township detectives and members of the U.S. Marshals Service New York-New Jersey Regional Task Force. He has remained lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
At sentencing, scheduled for January 8, 2027, prosecutors will seek two concurrent 15-year New Jersey State Prison terms subject to the No Early Release Act.
