Armed Robbery Suspect on the Loose After String of Robberies

Police are looking for an armed robbery suspect who is believed to be behind three similar robberies in Brooklyn, including one in Williamsburg.

The latest incident happened Friday afternoon inside a business at 284 Broadway in the 90th Precinct. A 23-year-old cashier was approached by an unidentified man who made a threatening statement and then pulled out a gun. The suspect took cash from the register before running out on foot and heading north on Marcy Avenue. 

On September 11, a similar robbery took place at 755 Flatbush Avenue in the 70th Precinct. The suspect threatened the 26-year-old cashier with a gun and took cash from the register and the victim’s cellphone before fleeing toward Lenox Road.

The first robbery happened July 12 at 1037 Nostrand Avenue in the 71st Precinct. The suspect threatened the 23-year-old worker, pulled out a gun and took cash from the register and several cellphones before fleeing southbound on Nostrand Avenue on a two-wheeled device.

No injuries were reported in any of the three incidents.

The NYPD has released images of the suspect and is asking anyone who recognizes him or has information about the robberies to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
