The national campaign is aimed at combating antisemitism and other forms of hate and discrimination, with federal officials bringing government resources directly to communities, the Justice Department said.
The initiative reflects the Trump administration’s commitment to combating antisemitism nationwide, according to the department.
“President Trump has made clear that this Administration will not tolerate antisemitism,” Attorney General Todd Blanche said. He said the tour will help communities confront antisemitic threats, protect public safety and uphold civil rights.
Associate Attorney General Stanley E. Woodward Jr. said the Justice Department is working to protect Americans from discrimination and violence while defending freedom of speech and the free exercise of religion.
Leo Terrell, chair of the DOJ Task Force to Combat Antisemitism, said the task force is leading efforts to combat hate and prejudice across the country.
The Southfield event will take place on Oct. 14. The Justice Department said registration is available through the Michigan Zionist Organization of America.
