Ocean County to Receive Federal Grant to Reconstruct Numerous Intersections on Cedarbridge Ave. in Lakewood

Oct 7, 2026·1 min read

The following is an ‘Ask The Mayor’ question submitted to TLS, and the Mayor’s response. Email your questions for the Mayor to [email protected].

Question:

Hi,

When driving every morning down cedar bridge I need to make a left turn onto swarthmore and I can wait up until 10 minutes to turn. Can you please put a left turn signal by that intersection?

Thanx for all your help!

Response from Mayor Coles:

Good afternoon. I wish I could. My business was located in Swarthmore for 25 years. I am very familiar with this concern. Cedarbridge is a county road so any project requires their buy in. The good news is that the county is receiving a federal grant to reconstruct all the intersections on Cedarbridge from 88 to Airport Rd. And a turn lane and signal was in the initial plans.

Thanks

Ray
