Village of Spring Valley to Begin Paving Eight Village Streets Tomorrow, Friday, After Chol Hamoed Rain Delay

The Village of Spring Valley is scheduled to begin paving eight Village streets tomorrow, Friday, as part of its ongoing effort to improve road conditions throughout the Village.

The work had initially been scheduled for Chol Hamoed Sukkos but was postponed due to the rainy weather throughout the week.

Crews are now scheduled to begin Friday with Ewing Avenue and Dutch Lane, completing as much work as possible before continuing on Monday and Tuesday, and possibly into Wednesday, all weather permitting.

The other streets included in the paving project are Zeissner Lane, Bohr Court, Haera Lane, Anthony Drive, Dunlop Drive, and Jasinski Road.

Residents along the affected streets are being asked not to park on the roadway while paving is underway. Due to the short notice, Village officials are also asking residents to help spread the word to neighbors who may not be as connected to local updates and may otherwise be unaware of the upcoming work.

Village officials said, “Although we acknowledge that the paving work and temporary parking restrictions can be difficult for residents, these are the growing pains that come along with improving our Village. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation, and look forward to residents being able to enjoy beautiful, newly paved roads once the work is completed.”
