LAKEWOOD: Texas Man Charged in $250,000 Burglary at Local Business; Shomrim Assisted in Investigation

Oct 10, 2026·1 min read

A 35-year-old Houston, Texas man has been charged in connection with a June burglary at a Lakewood business, where approximately $250,000 worth of equipment was stolen.

Lakewood Police say officers responded to a burglar alarm on June 14 and discovered shattered glass entrance doors. Investigators determined that multiple suspects forced their way into the business during the early morning hours, damaged display cases, and fled with the stolen merchandise.

Following a four-month investigation, detectives identified Ericson Pring, 35, of Houston, as one of the suspects.

Pring faces charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree theft, second-degree criminal mischief, and third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Police Chief Gregory H. Meyer praised detectives for their work on the case and thanked the New Jersey State Police Communications Analysis Unit and Shomrim for their assistance.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Detective John Ganley at 732-363-0200, ext. 5392.
