IDF And ISA Dismantle Hamas Command Center, Rocket Launch Site And Weapons Facilities In Gaza
JERUSALEM (VINnews) – Defense Forces and Israel Security Agency struck multiple Hamas sites across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, dismantling an observation command center, a rocket launch site and three weapons storage facilities, according to a joint statement from the two agencies.
The observation command center was located in the Daraj Tuffah area and had been used by Hamas operatives to direct activities against Israeli troops operating nearby, the statement said. A rocket launch site in the Al-Furqan area was also targeted. The three weapons storage facilities, situated in several areas of the territory, contained dozens of weapons of various types, including rockets, explosive devices, mortars, Kalashnikov rifles and other combat equipment.
Advance warnings were issued to residents in the affected areas before the strikes. Precision munitions and aerial surveillance were used to reduce the risk of harm to civilians, according to the announcement.
Forces under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the existing agreement and will continue operations to degrade the capabilities of terrorist organizations in Gaza and to prevent any attempt to restore infrastructure or stockpile weapons intended to target Israeli troops, the IDF and ISA said.
