Brick Township is preparing for its first townwide property revaluation in nearly two decades, following a directive from the Ocean County Board of Taxation requiring the municipality to reassess property values.

The Township Council has unanimously approved seeking bids from qualified firms to conduct the revaluation, which will involve reviewing properties throughout the township to bring assessed values in line with current market conditions.

Brick last completed a property revaluation in 2010. Under the county’s directive, the new process must be completed by November 1, 2028, with updated assessments taking effect in 2029.
